Cathey Richardson Brown

Cathey Richardson Brown, age 81 of Goodlettsville, passed from this life surrounded by her family on March 7, 2021. Cathey was born March 2, 1940 to Carlie and Lucretia Richardson of Nashville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Helen Ruth Wilsford. She is survived by her son Steve Gregory (Lisa) and daughter Kim Gregory. Cathey was a loving grandmother known as “Kitty Kate” to her five grandchildren, Karlie Scudder (Matt), Allie Brooke Shrum (Caleb), Lauren Akins (Thomas Rhett), Macy Page (Tyler), and Grayson Gregory; and her three great granddaughters, Willa Gray, Ada James and Lennon. Cathey enjoyed reading, knitting, hiking, horseback riding and cooking for her family. Her grandchildren especially loved Kitty Kate's sugar cookies! Cathey volunteered in her community and church. She also was an active member of her garden club and sewing club until her death and attended Northfield Church in Gallatin. A Celebration of Life honoring Cathey will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2020, 1:00 P.M. at Northfield Church, 2100 Nashville Pike, Gallatin with Pastor Tom Haddon officiating. Visitation with the family will be Monday, March 22nd from 5-7 P.M. and Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.
