James "Jim" Odis Ryan

Mr. James O. Ryan, 63, of Gallatin, passed away August 23, 2021, after a brief illness.
Jim was born on May 27, 1958 in Greenfield, Indiana, outside Indianapolis, to the late Odis O. and Beatrice Clyde Scott Ryan.
Also preceding in death are grandparents, Stella V. and Dewey Ryan of Bethpage, Tennessee and Verda and William Ferrell of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jim worked at RR Donnelley and Sons Printing over 25 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister and her husband, Beatrice "Jean" Ryan and David M. McNeil of Gallatin; uncles, Eddie and Gus Ferrell of Indianapolis, Indiana; several cousins and countless friends. Also his fur baby nephew, Shiloh, whom he dearly loved.
Jean Ryan would like to express her heartfelt thanks to Dr. Berie and the nurses at Sumner Regional Medical Center 6th floor and Ms. Lisa at Sumner Regional Medical Center. The staff and nurses at Gallatin Center and Rehabilitation and Comfort Care Hospice for their wonderful care. Nurse Christina at Gallatin Center was her absolute angel and she will never forget her. She was her Godsend.
Everyone who cared for her brother Jim were very special people. Not all heroes wear capes and not all angels have wings. Ms. Ryan knows she has met them.
