Joseph Dale "J.D." Hudson

Joseph Dale "J.D." Hudson, age 75 of Gallatin, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 5, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home. J.D. was born on November 29, 1944 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to the late James and Ida Hudson. J.D. was a veteran of the United States Navy and pastor of The Lord's Sanctuary Church in Gallatin. He will be remembered as a southern gentleman and a true man of God. J.D. was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who truly loved his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Myrna Williams, James Hudson, Jr., and Duval Hudson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia Hudson; children, Joe Hudson, Jr. (Elizabeth), David Hudson, Marnie Sears (Corby), Gayle Dragoo (John), Jennifer Boileau (John); 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his church family at The Lord's Sanctuary. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020, 2:00 P.M. at The Lord's Sanctuary Church, 734 Red River Road, Gallatin. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Social distancing will be observed and masks will be required inside the building.
