Joseph Christopher Winands

Chris Winands, age 71, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Sumner Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born on August 4, 1950, in Natick, Massachusetts, to the late Frank Peter Winands and the late Louann Nored Winands.
Chris graduated from California State University, Long Beach. He started his long career in sales and marketing of outdoor sporting goods. Chris loved to hunt, especially with his nephew Charlie and great nephew Tyler. Golf was another pastime Chris enjoyed with his buddies. Fly fishing the Caney Fork River was something he took great pleasure in. Travel was approached as an adventure, which Chris relished. Chris thoroughly enjoyed life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Carlotta Tarver; daughter, Meghan Araiza (Orlando); grandchildren, Quest Araiza, Ayden Araiza, Madeleine Araiza, Serenity Araiza. He was also blessed with a large extended family, who will all miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held in the fall. Details to be determined.
