Justin Daniel Nissen

July 16, 1989 — March 23, 2019

Justin Daniel Nissen, age 29 of Hendersonville, unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Friday, March 22, 2019.

Justin loved Jesus, his daughter Hannah, his new bride Amber Warren, and iced coffee. He graduated from Beech Senior High School and was near graduation from Volunteer State Community College (Associate’s Degree in Business). His longest employment was at the MGM window factory. Early on, he was an Assistant Painter for Tony Rawls. He was known for singing along to contemporary Christian songs at the top of his lungs very off-key while driving his truck with the windows down. He was active in Life Church, One Stone Nashville, Tres Dias, Celebrate Recovery, chaired a Life Group, gave Bibles to Homeward Bound graduating classes and touched many lives in a positive and profound way. He had a passion for evangelism. He had an affection for Elevation Church and Bethel Church music. He volunteered at Christian concerts for World Vision. He was able to take his daughter on a very memorable Christian mission trip to Costa Rica this year and personally baptized daughter Hannah Mae this year at a Life Church celebration.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Keith Nissen, who died in 2003. He is survived by his mother, Nina Naffziger Nissen; his sister, Emily Christine Nissen; his new wife, Amber Warren; and his father- & mother-in-law, Donnie and Tara Warren; and also survived by paternal and maternal aunts and uncles and cousins. Justin and Amber recently eloped.

His family will receive friends at a visitation on Tuesday, April 2, from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Life Church in Hendersonville (Indian Lake Boulevard). His funeral service will be held immediately following at Life Church the same day at 1:30pm with Campus Pastor Joel Wilkie officiating, with the assistance of Rev. Mark Lancaster of One Stone Nashville Church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and are still being finalized. Youth serving as Honorary Pallbearers include Bennett, Brayden, JShawn and Hailey. A Private Interment will follow (family only). A GoFundMe page and fundraiser have been established.

The family has entrusted services to Austin & Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 104 Sanders Ferry Road, Hendersonville, TN. 615-822-4442.
