Lecil Smith, age 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at home in Goodlettsville, TN.
Lecil was born on September 20, 1940 in Timothy, Tennessee, to the late Sanford and Lola Smith.
Lecil was a long-time member of Rivergate Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon. He proudly served in the Army National Gard. He had a career as a steel sales manager, and later in life he had fun as a professional auctioneer. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid animal lover.
Lecil is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra Smith; and son, Derek Smith and his wife Ginger Smith.
In addition to his parents, Lecil is preceded in death by four older brothers and a sister.
A decision has not yet been yet made regarding services.
