Martha Patricia "Pat" Mckenzie

Martha Patricia “Pat” McKenzie, age 75 of Hendersonville, passed away on Wednesday, September 12 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Born in Shelbyville, TN, Pat was raised in Bell Buckle TN and Niagara Falls, NY where she graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She moved back to Tennessee and settled in Hendersonville in 1970 where she raised her 3 children. She was a long-time employee of Caldwell Banker Barnes Realty and considered her co-workers as part of her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Trojan; her mother, Thelma Trojan; and her grandson, Christian McKenzie. She is survived by her sisters, Cheryl Trojan and Candy Hagewood (Greg); her brother, Paul Trojan; her son, Brad McKenzie (Toni); her daughters, Brandi Allocco (Phil) and Bridget McKenzie; her grandchildren Brittani Sircy (Bobby), Michael McKenzie, Maurina Scott-Wise, Caitlin McKenzie, Chloe McKenzie, Presley Eastwood, Foster Allocco and Asher Ezzell; and her great-grandchildren, Alex, Max, Xavier, Dexter, Christopher, MJ, Braxton, Caroline, Hayleigh and Addison.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 15th at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Hendersonville where she was a long-time member. Visitation will be from 12-4pm with service, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Squires, starting promptly at 4pm. Billy Byrd will perform some of Pat’s favorite Christian songs throughout the service. Pallbearers will include friends and family.

As Pat’s final wishes included cremation, the family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to the Sumner Co Humane Society, 16 Volunteer Drive, Hendersonville, TN 37075. Pat had a love of animals, taking in many strays over the years, so this would be a fantastic way to honor her memory.
