Myrna Marie Fryer

Myrna Fryer, age 78 of Knoxville, passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Myrna was born on March 23, 1943 in Menomonie, Wisconsin to the late Orrin and Rose Smith. Though she was born in Wisconsin, Myrna was raised in New Mexico and lived there until relocation to Knoxville with her daughter; she enojyed traveling and was a longtime labor and delivery nurse for almost 20 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Fryer. She is survived by her children, Orrin Fryer (Kim) of Sterling, CO; daughter, Samara Manning (Adrian) of Knoxville; grandchildren, James Fryer of Colorado, Joshua Fryer (Stephanie) of England, Erik Manning (Cheyenne) of Knoxville, Samuel Fryer of Colorado, and Jameela Manning (Wesley Pearson) of Knoxville; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Douglas Smith (Margaret) of Michigan and Steven Smith (Rowena) of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and adopted family.
