Nancy Susan Key

Nancy Susan Key age 66 of Hendersonville passed away January 2, 2021 at the Hendersonville Medical Center. In her early years Ms. Key was a Reporter with the Tennessean and The Gallatin News but spent most of her life as a Special Education Teacher with the Sumner County School System working with learning, disabled and gifted students.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Key; parents, William and Evelyn Ruth Phillips; and a sister, Pauline Bell.

She is survived by her son, Philip Key; grandson, Charles Key; sister, Patricia Spivey; and her special furbaby, Amber.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Austin and Bell Funeral Home, Hendersonville. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 16, 2021 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

The family request that any memorial contributions be made to the David L. Key Scholarship Fund at Volunteer State Community College.

The funeral home asks that anyone attending the visitation and/or service to please wear a mask. For your safety, all CDC guidelines are to be followed.
