Robert A. Laster, age 79 of Gallatin, passed away peacefully February 22, 2021. Mr. Laster was born on June 10, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Ray Laster and the late Lula Belle Midgett Laster. Robert was a kind and humble man who loved his family dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Laster; and his sister, Mary Jones. He is survived by his wife, Marynelle Laster; children, Lisa Tripp (Mark), Connie Grubbs (Don), Maxey Ryan (Kay), Phil Ryan (Peggy), Stan Ryan (Shelia), and Mike Ryan (Charlotte); 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Janie, James, Kenneth, Jerry “Red”, and Linda; step-children, Patti Morgan (Scott), Nancy Lane and Leslie Peck; 5 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren. A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021, 12:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church, 840 Forest Retreat Road in Hendersonville with Dr. Lloyd Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 10:30 A.M. until time of service.
