Robert T. Overton

Robert T. Overton, age 42 of Gallatin, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2021 surrounded by his family at his home. Robert was born on November 13, 1978 in Birmingham, Alabama to Jimmy Overton and Karla Oakley. Robert was a proud Lineman for many years and enjoyed his work; an avid Alabama fan (Roll Tide); he was full of life and character and loved to keep people laughing; most importantly he was a great husband, proud father, and a wonderful son. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Angie Overton; children, Jonathon Lucas, Jacob Lucas, Ethan McClearen, and Destiny Overton; parents, Karla Oakley and Jimmy Overton (Teresa); siblings, Jessica Goddard (Eric), Matt Overton, Megan Holland (Cody), Hailey Oakley, and Emily Overton; grandparents, Charlene Overton and James “Chigger” Overton. A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at Liberty Baptist Church, 1047 S. Water Ave., Gallatin, TN 37066. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, May 21st from 4-8 P.M. and Saturday from 11 A.M. until service time.
