Sonya Gaye Jones Cherry was born August 30, 1965 in Springfield, TN and she passed away on March 3, 2017 at her residence in Cross Plains at the age of 51.
Sonya was the daughter of Royce Wayne and Joyce Clinard Jones. She was married to Danny Wayne Cherry on February 13, 1996. She was a nurse and a member of the Cross Plains Methodist Church.
Sonya was preceded in death by her father, Royce Wayne Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Wayne Cherry of Cross Plains, son, Richard Foreright ; daughter, Chasity Foreright of Springfield, grandchildren, Nickela Foreright of Cross Plains, Mario Cockshell of Hermitage and Marinna Cockshell of Memphis; brothers, Jeffrey, Michael Todd and Corey Allen Jones all of Cross Plains and mother, Joyce Jones of Cross Plains.
Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 2PM in the First United Methodist Church in Cross Plains. Visitation will be 11-2. Pastor Clint Jones will officiate.
