William "Howard" Martin

William Howard Martin, age 89, of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020.
Howard was a dedicated husband and loving father and grandfather. He retired from Tennessee Building Products after he served in the US Marine Corps. He lived up to their motto of, "Semper Fidelis", proving himself “always faithful”.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Blanche Clendenning; grandparents, Zack and Vera Martin; and siblings, Betty Davis and Bobby Gann.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Charline Martin; son, Tony Martin and his girlfriend, Annette Rudolph; daughter, Cindy Troutt; sisters, Barbara Hornal, Inez (James) Hardison, and Peggy Troutt; aunt, Alline Martin; grandchildren, David Troutt, Tonya Troutt, Alex Martin, Hannah Martin, Sarah Beth Rudolph, and Miranda Rudolph; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Karleigh, Kolton and Kamryn Troutt, Destiny, Dynasty and Dillon Parks, and Kyra Troutt; several great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive.
His family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Thursday from 10:00am until his Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Roger Thaxton officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include David Troutt, Alex Martin, Mark Moulder, Paul Brinkley, Danny Troutt, and Hannah Martin. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Tennessee Building Products and Tennessee Glass Company.
