Arthur Hulon Sanders Jr., age 89 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away Monday, October 7, 2024. Hulon was born November 14, 1934 in Nashville, Tennessee and was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Hulon Sanders, Sr.and Winnie Bell Lee Sanders; brothers, Raymond Sanders, David Sanders and Mark Sanders; sister, Linda Stinson; daughters, Lisa Sanders Gibbs, Lori Sanders Connor and Joy Sanders; granddaughter, Laurel Sanders Tompkins. Hulon was retired from Holland Freight Lines and he enjoyed the outdoors. He most enjoyed fishing, and also loved his yard work and gardening especially in retirement. He was a faithful member of GoodNaz Church for over fifty years. Hulon is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Sanders; son, Gary Sanders (Becky); siblings, Sue Farris (Jimmy), Elaine Gnegy (Keith) and Mary Creson; Six grandchildren and Eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather for a celebration of Hulon’s life on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene (GoodNaz). Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM followed by the service at 3:00 with Pastor Philip Smith officiating. The family requests memorial donations may be made to GoodNaz Children's Ministry in memory of Mr. Sanders.
