We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our mother, Betty Jo Hines, nee Kittrell. She passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. 

Betty was born in Defeated Creek and raised in Carthage, TN. She arrived in Hendersonville in 1972 and has lived here ever since. She devoted her time to raising her three boys and cheering or volunteering for their activities and sports, She enjoyed garage saleing; there isn't a street in Hendersonville she doesn't know. A lifelong artist, she later in life enjoyed upcycling furniture as well as card games and visits with her dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margie Kittrell, Betty is survived by her three sons, David (Jennifer), Chris (Amy) both of Hendersonville, TN, and Jay of Indianapolis, IN, and her beloved grandchildren, Thomas, Allie, Sydney, Josie, Skyler, and Seth.

A celebration of life will be held at Spring Haven Estate at 1 Spring Haven Ct in Hendersonville on Saturday, August 8th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST.
