Beverly Riadon

Beverly Riadon, age 87 of Hendersonville, passed away on August 16, 2023 with her daughters by her side.

Beverly was born on September 24, 1935 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late William Roscoe Carter and the late Eva Mae Ferrell Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Wesley Riadon, III and her son, Jeff Riadon. Beverly is survived by her daughters, Yvette Riadon (Chuck Jackson) and Julie Poole (Tony); grandchildren, Nicole Deline (Harley), Courtney Cook (Bo), Bethany Spore, Chris Spore, Alex Spore, Chaz Poole (Brittany), and Chelsey Brown (Matthew); and 13 great-grandchildren.

Beverly was born in Atlanta, but was raised in Nashville from a young age. She attended Peabody School of Nashville through high school, then Peabody College for teachers, and later Free Hill Business School. She married her beloved John in April 1960 and they were married for 63 years. She and John made their home in Hendersonville where they raised their family and became very involved in the community. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville for 55 years.  Beverly was a homemaker, devoted and loving wife to her husband, always supporting him in everything he did and everything he wanted to accomplish. She was a loving mother to three children, cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. from the Chapel at First Baptist Church Hendersonville with Pastor Bruce Chesser officiating. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside and on Monday from 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at First Baptist Hendersonville.  Her family will serve as active pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her Sisters in Christ Sunday School Class and the Lakeside Neighbors Club-Ladies Group. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gideon’s International or First Baptist Church Hendersonville.
