Brett Maggart

Brett Maggart, age 63 of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025.  A graduate of Hendersonville High School in 1980, Brett dedicated many years to the carpet and flooring industry. He not only owned his own carpet company but also contributed several years at Roy's Meat Market in Nashville, where his hard work and dedication earned him respect within the community.

Brett was known for his outgoing personality and charismatic charm that drew people towards him. Those who knew him often remarked on his huge heart for others; he was always willing to share whatever he could with those around him. His kindness left an indelible mark on family, friends, and acquaintances alike.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Brett was an avid supporter and fan of the Tennessee Volunteers, enjoying the thrill of college sports. He also found joy in the outdoors through his passion for disc golf—a pursuit that allowed him to connect with nature and engage with friends.

Brett is survived by his beloved daughter, Hailey Brewer (Jeff); his father, Ron Maggart (Beverly); brother, Brian Maggart (Angela); sister, Beth Maggart; his grandchildren, Levi, Allie, and Emma Katherine; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Dupre.

A service celebrating Brett’s life will be held on December 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, located at 104 Sanders Ferry Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Brett's memory to Alive Hospice.
