Brian James Melton, age 66, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on May 17, 2026. He was born on January 25, 1960 in Plattsburg, NY to Charles Robert Melton and Patricia Ann Andersen. Brian spent his childhood in Sioux City, Iowa before moving with his family to Tennessee in 1986.

Over the years, he built a life centered on family, travel, cruising, camping and making memories with family and friends, especially his two grandchildren who were the center of his world. He was a lover of Stephen King books, horror movies, Milwaukee Wiener House in Sioux City, IA, Palmer’s Twin Bings, and Jack Daniel’s collectable bottles. He worked for thirty years at Tennessee Commercial Warehouse as a warehouse supervisor until his retirement in 2023.

He leaves behind his spouse of 40 years, Deanne Melton, Elisha (daughter) and Michael McDonald (son-in-law), Hailey McDonald (granddaughter), Brayden McDonald (grandson), Christy (sister) and Ronnie Hassell, Patrick (brother) and Gloria Melton, Charles (brother) and Tena Lewis, Glenn (brother) and Christina Dobney, numerous nieces and nephews, and Deanne’s extended family.

He was proceeded in death by Mildred Lucille (grandmother) and Chris Andersen, Charles Melton (father), Patricia (mother) and Charles Dobney (stepfather), and Jeffrey Powell (brother-in-law).

His memory will be honored thru family traditions such as Danish Aebleskiver breakfast feast, sausage biscuits and gravy, and potato salad. Brian’s legacy will continue on in the lives of all who loved him.

Brian had requested that there would be no service.
