Caldwell Hancock, age 71 of Madison, passed away September 14, 2021. Mr. Hancock was born on May 21, 1950 in Nashville, TN to the late William Hancock and the late Peggy Moss. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lee Hancock Farrar and his brother, John Moss. Caldwell is survived by his wife, Gail Cowden Hancock; his children, Bill Hancock (Elizabeth), Rob Hancock (Tony), Tom Hancock, and Mary Mitchell (Taylor); his bonus children, Marty Cook (Jama) and Ashley Stock (Kent); grandchildren, Frank, Eleanor, Emma, Kellers, Margaret Briggs, Carson, Campbell, Abi, Lilli, and Kyle; brother, Andrew Moss; and mother of his children, Cathye Adelman Hancock. Caldwell was a graduate of Memphis State University and the University of Tennessee Law School. He practiced law in Nashville for 40 years and loved helping people navigate through difficult times in their lives. Caldwell loved his family, friends, UT Football, and golf; he will be deeply missed by many. We will celebrate Caldwell on Sunday, September 19th, 5:00 P.M. at Community Church in Hendersonville. Visitation with the family will be from 2:30-4:30 P.M. on Sunday at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be Caldwell’s grandchildren, the Thursday Night Book Club and the Corley Home Group.
