Chris Logan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Hendersonville, Tennessee, on October 3, 2025. Born on November 27, 1960, in Orlando, Florida, Chris lived a life dedicated to serving others and nurturing the next generation.

Chris graduated from Florida Christian College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, which laid the foundation for his profound commitment to youth ministry. He served as a youth minister at Lakeview Christian Church in Apopka, Florida, where his heart was deeply invested in the spiritual growth of young people. His approach to ministry was characterized by a quiet demeanor but was complemented by a great sense of humor, making him a cherished figure in the lives of many.

Professionally, Chris spent 25 years as a manager in IT for Ascension, demonstrating his dedication and expertise in the field. Prior to his career in IT, he honorably served in the United States Navy as a nuclear electrician on a submarines for 11 years. This experience not only enriched his life but allowed him to serve alongside his shipmates, for whom he became a mentor and friend, guiding many sailors with wisdom and guidance.

In addition to his impressive career and military service, Chris had a rich tapestry of personal interests. He was a history buff, had a love for building complex Legos, and was a passionate aficionado of Star Wars and Disney, finding joy in the stories and adventures these worlds offered.

Chris is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Alina Logan; children, Sean Logan (Audra), Ashlyn Bundy (Nicholas), and Daniel Logan (Sayra); and grandchildren, Maisie, Anders, Teagan, and Ian, each of whom he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his siblings, Sharon Hartzell, Ralph Logan, Janice Abel, and Leslie Logan, along with several nieces and nephews who will continue to carry his legacy.

Chris was preceded in death by his loving parents, Les and Mary Logan. His impact on family and community will be remembered and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, commitment, and unwavering support, ensuring that his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.

A Celebration of Chris's life will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 1:00 P.M until time of service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice or the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.
