Listen to Obituary

Daniel Dwain Rogers, age 62, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at Tri Star Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN, due to complications with cancer. He was surrounded by his loved ones when he took his last breath.

Daniel was born on September 9,1963 to the former Elizabeth Esther Wyatt and Danny Mason Rogers in Detroit, Michigan. Daniel went to Murray State University where he studied marketing and went into sales as a career aspiration. He married the love of his life, Penny Louise Beavers Rogers on May 18, 1985.

He loved spending time with his family, hiking in the mountains and playing drums. Music was his passion, and he would spend hours playing drums day and night. He was very talented and creative, who wrote books and comics even though he was never published. He had a great sense of humor and would give you the last shirt off his back if you needed it. He was truly the smartest man you could talk with.

He was a much-loved husband, father to Alison Rogers Miller and Emily Rogers; and grandfather to Ava, Silas and Logan Miller to whom he loved with his whole heart. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanette Rogers and his nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Rogers; his mother, Elizabeth Stow; brother, James Rogers; sister, Michelle Rogers; and stepfather, Dean Stow.

There will be no funeral. Surrounded by his immediate family, his ashes along with his brother’s ashes will be spread in the mountains where he loved to spend a lot of his time.

You will forever be missed, Dwain. You were loved by so many people.
