Donna Jo Jackson

Donna Jo Jackson, age 58, went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2025.

Born on April 5, 1967, Donna is survived and was the beloved daughter of Billie Edgar Maxson and Teresa June Plummer Maxson, two cherished brothers, Ron Maxson (Andrea) and Bill Maxson (Sarah).

Donna leaves behind two children: Jay (JJ) Todd Walls Jr. (Morgan), and Ben Jackson Cornette (Fiancé Lauren). She was a grandmother to three grandsons, Landen Spina, Tucker Walls, and Beckett Walls. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, Tracey Stout and Jeff Jackson.

Her list of personal accomplishments was many, as a daughter, mother, grandmother, friend, sister, and active listener, to name a few. She worked professionally as a hairdresser and an international flight attendant for ATA before finding nursing as her true calling. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, with a BS degree. She also got a BSN degree in Nursing from Marian University, gaining employment at St. Vincent's in Indianapolis and then St. Thomas in Nashville, and ultimately working with Press Ganey as a Clinical Advisor. She was nearing completion of a Doctorate in Integrated Health and Healing, with only one semester to go.

Donna was a beautiful, sensitive, and thoughtful person who could light up a room with her mere presence, contagious laugh, wicked sense of humor, and quick wit. Her home was always open, and her kindness and generosity were unparalleled. Additionally, she was a deeply spiritual person who was always on the side of the underdog and for the greater good.
