[Obituary]

Doris May Kirkbride, born on September 23, 1925, in Newark, New Jersey, peacefully passed away on June 29 2024, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She was a devoted mother and loving presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Doris be fondly remembered for her unwavering dedication to her sons. After the untimely death of her husband, Frank, in the line of duty as a firefighter, she provided for them with love and care, creating a warm and welcoming home where they thrived. Her great sense of humor and charismatic personality brought joy to those around her.

Among proudest accomplishments was serving as the ex-president of the American Legion, where she crossed paths with her longtime companion, Lenny. Their companionship spanned over four decades and brought much happiness into Doris's life.

\In her leisure time, Doris found solace in simple pleasures like cleaning windows and ironing. To her, housekeeping was more than just a chore; it was a form of therapy that allowed her to find peace and contentment.

She is survived by her son, Frank E. "Kirky" Kirkbride (Donna); grandchildren: Tasmin Beatty (Matthew), Tristan Kirkbride (Natalie); and great-grandchildren: Taryn, Levi, and Isla.

As we mourn the loss of Doris May Kirkbride, we also celebrate the impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, humor, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

May she rest in peace.
