Dorothy Smith "Dot" Savage

Dorothy Smith “Dot” Savage, age 81 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 in Mechanicsville, VA. She was born in Crossville, TN on January 19, 1941 to Allen Gardner and Anna Elizabeth Odell Smith.

Dot was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her love of family, the University of Tennessee, and her love of baking, cooking, and travelling. She was a long-time employee of South Central Bell before her retirement.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lloyd Smith, James Willard Smith, Kelly Smith, and Joyce Smith Norrod.

She is survived by her daughter, Misty (Steve) Webb; siblings, Paul Smith, Bernese Goodman, and Gene (Annie) Smith; grandchildren, Bethany Webb, Daniel Webb, and Sydney Webb; and many extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Dot’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2022 at Nashville First Church of the Nazarene on Woodland Street. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville and from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service at the church.
