Douglas “Sluggo” Burton, age 65, of Bethpage, Tennessee passed away on November 24, 2023.

Doug was born on March 15, 1958 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Charles Burton and Helen Allen.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Jill Burton; stepfather, Walter Mathews; brothers, Steve Burton and George Mathews Sr.; sister, Kim Avera; niece, Sarah Johnson; nephews, Ian Avera, Aaron Avera, Jordan Avera, and Loren Avera; friends, Jimbo Farrell, Grip Collier, Johnny Carroll, and John & Megan Perez; and a host of other friends.
