Frances Evelyn Hinton, age 89, of Cottontown, passed away on Thursday July 25, 2019 at Sumner Regional Medical Center.
Evelyn was born in Deer Park, MI on Monday April 21, 1930, daughter of Charles Basil and Florence Gertrude Brown Lankford. Frances was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Hinton. Survivors include 2 sons, Joe H. Hinton of Goodlettsville and James Basil Hinton of Cottontown; daughter, Suzanne H. Edds of Gallatin; brother, James Gilbert Lankford of Dickson; sisters, Anne Clair Crafton and Edith Jean Overton both of Dickson. 6 Grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a step-grandson also survive. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jul 27 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Cottontown Church of Christ, 2261 Tennessee Highway 25, Cottontown, TN. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 27 at 12 noon at Cottontown Church of Christ, 2261 Tennessee Highway 25, Cottontown, TN. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens, 1623 Old Hwy 109 N, Gallatin, TN.
Services will be officiated by Bro. Tim Singleton. Memorial donations may be made to Cottontown Church of Christ. Sumner County Funeral and Cremation Services assisting family with local arrangements. 615-452-9059
