Evelyn (Ev) Marie Kelley, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, leaving behind a
lifetime of cherished memories with those who knew and loved her. Ev was born in San Francisco, California, to the late Alfredo and Dora Lucchesi.

Ev was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was happily married to the love of her life, James (Jim) Kelley, for 45 years. Ev was preceded in death by her husband and son, Mark Kelley, both passing in 2010.

Ev is survived by her son, Chris (Connie); daughter-in-law, Andrea; her grandchildren, Clara, Josh, Hannah, and Jude; her sister Barbara (George) Rowe; sisters-in-law Joanne (Charlie) Capper and Mary Ellen (Rodger) Altenhofen; and many nieces and nephews.

Ev liked to read and crochet however, her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen and valued, through her supportive presence or simple words of encouragement. She leaves behind countless stories and memories that will keep her family laughing for years to come.

A visitation will be held at Sumner Funeral and Cremation Lakeside on Sunday, October 11,2026, at 4:00 PM concluding with a rosary at 5:30. A funeral mass will be held on Monday,October 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake followed by a luncheon reception. Interment will take place in her hometown, Chico, CA at a later date.
