Glen Steven "Steve" Graves

Glen Steven “Steve” Graves, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and servant to his community, passed away on September 22, 2026. Born on November 23, 1955, Steve lived a life defined by hard work, steady faith, and an unwavering love for his family.

Steve shared a beautiful life with his first wife, Debbie Gross Graves, whom he married on June 27, 1980. They remained together until her passing on February 16, 2010. Later, he found love again and married Teresa Cox on November 5, 2011, remaining by her side until her passing in 2025.

He was a proud father and family man, leaving behind a legacy through his children: Mary Ruth (Kenny) Dixon, Haley (Kevin) Barker, Glenda Troutt, Amanda (Kelly) Gregory, and Sara (Mike) Scott. Steve was a loving grandfather to Eli and Tate; Maddie and Millie; Brooklyn and Bridger; and Jaylen, Harper, and Grayson (“Buster”). His grandchildren were among his greatest joys, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Steve was preceded in death by his father and mother, Delano and Ruth Graves; his beloved first wife, Debbie Graves; and his second wife, Teresa Graves.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Steve spent over 20 years working with Pirelli and also devoted time to the Bethpage Tire Shop. His commitment to his community extended far beyond his career. He was a faithful, lifelong member of Bethpage Community Church, where his presence and service left a lasting impact. He also served his community through his work with the Castalian Springs/Bethpage District Water Board and dedicated 14 years as a Sumner County Commissioner, always striving to serve others with integrity and care.

Outside of his work and service, Steve enjoyed farming and loved traveling with his family. He found joy in the simple things—time with loved ones, being outdoors, and staying connected to his roots. He was especially proud of his early years, having played center for Gallatin High School football, Class of 1973, wearing jersey #55.

Steve will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his steady presence, and the love he poured into his family and community. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he built, and the community he helped shape.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. from the Bethpage Community Church with David Woodard and Mike Potts officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 3:00-7:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the church. 

Pallbearers will be Kevin Barker, Eli Barker, Kelly Gregory, Brandon Troutt, Kenny Dixon, and Mike Scott.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bethpage Community Church in his honor.
