Jerry Wayne Merry was born on March 9, 1943, in Lake Charles, Louisiana and was raised by Lyle and Syble Merry. He passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, at the age of 83.

He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, and his wife of 39 years, Pamela.

Family members who survive him are daughter Stephanie Merry Buis (Jeff); daughter Pattie Fuschino; daughter Melissa Hunter (James); son Jeffrey Merry (Tami Sue); daughter MeShea Smith (Lucas); daughter Megan Torrejon (Chris); grandchildren Alex Colvin (Kenzie), Justin Hunter, Jordan Hunter Evans (Kobe), Mandee Hunter (Ky’Marieon), Macey Hunter, Corbin Fuschino, Ava Fuschino, Spencer Fuschino, Morgan Merry, and Scarlett Merry; and great grandchildren Mariah, Ryleigh, Fischer, Ollie, Maddie, and La’Kiyah. He is also survived by many additional extended family.

Jerry was beloved by anyone who met him, leaving a mark everywhere he went. His work ethic, sweet demeanor, and passion for supporting his children’s extra-curricular activities define his legacy. 

Jerry served his country as a member of The United States Air Force. A badge he proudly carried his entire life, and we are thankful for his service.

A visitation to honor Jerry’s memory will be held on July 3, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, 104 Sanders Ferry Rd, Hendersonville, TN. The family will have a private beach memorial service later this year to honor his wishes.
