"Joey" Phillip Joel Rutter

Phillip Joel "Joey" Rutter, age 65, of White House, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at home after a short battle with cancer.
He was born on July 22, 1957, in Bristol, Tennessee, to the late Jack Rutter, and Emma Kate Cook.
A long time fan, Joey was known for his love of Elvis. He was also known for his endeavors in motorcycle racing when he was younger. He also enjoyed playing golf with friends. Most of all, he was a beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle who will be missed dearly.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sherri Coleman Rutter; siblings, Michael Rutter, Jeffrey Rutter (Ann); nieces and nephews, Brianna, Matthew, and Andrew Rutter.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, 104 Sanders Ferry Road, Hendersonville, Tennessee, 37075.
