John Daniel Potts

John Daniel Potts, age 59 of Nashville, TN died Sunday, March 15, 2026 in Nashville. He was born January 24, 1967 in Louisville, KY to William David Potts Sr. and Ruth Deloris Jean Bland.

John loved his family and he loved his Lord. He enjoyed the outdoors immensely, whether visiting the mountains or just taking in the scenery wherever he happened to be. He enjoyed playing and listening to music as well as hiking, fishing, and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joel Damon Potts.

He is survived by his children, Nicole Dawn Dick and Jessica Cheri Potts (Brent) Ebinger; siblings, William David Potts Jr. and Debra Jean Potts; grandchildren, Cody Daniel Dick and Kinsli Sky Ebinger; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026 in the Chapel of Sumner Funeral and Cremation Lakeside. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
