Julie Junice Summers

Julie Junice Summers, 67, passed away on November 6, 2026, surrounded by love and with her two daughters by her side. She spent her final days in the comfort of her daughter’s home, cared for by those who loved her most.

Born and raised in New Deal, Tennessee, Julie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She treasured her family and the memories they shared. Her love and lively spirit will continue to live on through the generations who loved her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laurie Carman (Alan) and Katie Alexander (Gerald); her grandchildren, Mary Alice and Cora Carman; and her siblings, Margaret Ann Nash, Bonnie Taylor, Raymond Rogers (Wanda), Patsy Bradley, Wanda Pendleton (Tommy), Lannie Rogers (Beverly), Lorre Dorris (Ray), and Bud Rogers (Pam).

Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Summers; her parents, Thurman and Thelma Rogers; and her brother, Eugene Rogers.

Julie expressed her wishes to be remembered simply, without a formal funeral or memorial service. In honoring those wishes, her family will gather privately to remember and celebrate her life. The family is grateful for the love and support of those who knew her and respectfully requests privacy during this time.
