Kameron David Hughes

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kameron David Hughes, who left us far too soon at the age of 34, May 23rd, 2026.

Born in Columbia TN, November 7th, 1991. Residing in Lawrence County till moving to the Madison, TN area in 2000.

Kameron graduated from Hunters Lane High School 2011 where he met his high school sweetheart, then moved on to have a career in the Army. He had 6 years of service as a Combat Engineer. He retired from the Army with honorable discharge in 2018.

Kameron was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend who touched the lives of so many with his kindness, laughter, and caring heart. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and the memories shared with him will be treasured forever.

Kameron is survived by his beloved wife and High School Sweetheart, Rachel Hughes; his precious daughter, Ainsley Hughes; his loving parents, David and Jennifer Hughes; his sister, Lacy Hughes; his grandparents Rick and Marilyn Gongwer and beloved pets. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

Above all, he had a passion for anime and cooking, he cherished time with his family, but most of all he loved making new experiences and memories with Ainsley.

Though his time here was far too short, Kameron’s impact on those around him will never be forgotten. His family asks for continued prayers, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

The family will receive family and friends for visitation at Sumner Funeral and Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville, TN, on Thursday, May 28th, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will take place the following day, May 29th, 2026, at 12:00 PM following an hour of visitation.
