It is with great sadness that the family of Keith Alan Ebinger, age 73, announce his peaceful passing at his residence in Hendersonville on September 18, 2025 with his wife of 47 years, Regina by his side. He had been fighting a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease for 10 years.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ebinger Sr., his mother, Margaret Ebinger and his sister-in-law Nancy Ebinger.
Keith is survived by his loving wife Regina Gayle Ebinger; daughter Sheena Dawn Ebinger (Chris Doss), son Brent Alan Ebinger (Jessica Ebinger), and granddaughter Kinsli Sky Ebinger all in Hendersonville, TN. He is also survived by his brothers Wilt Ebinger, Lyle Ebinger (Beth), and sister Donna Chisum (Grady), all in Ohio. Also surviving is his brother-in-law Garland Allen (Jo) in Georgia and sister-in-law Anna Hill in Alabama. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren in OH, MI, FL, AL, KS, PA and AZ.
Keith was born February 16, 1952 to the late Robert Ebinger Sr. and Margaret Streidl Ebinger in Ohio. After graduating from South Central High School in Greenwich, Ohio in 1970, he received his B.S. degree in accounting from Ohio State University and moved to Nashville in 1974. He met his wife in Nashville and married June 17, 1978. He later received a MBA from MTSU. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville.
He was a devoted husband, father and Pops. He was always at his children’s numerous sporting events and recitals. He was also a Boy Scout Leader. One of his greatest joys in life was being Pops to his cherished granddaughter Kinsli.
In the leisure time of his younger years he enjoyed water skiing and playing pool. In more recent years he enjoyed card games, golfing and was known to ride his bike for miles at a time. He was an avid fan of Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football. He had a great sense of humor and was always eager to tell anyone he could his latest joke.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Sumner Funeral and Cremation Lakeside at 104 Sanders Ferry Rd. in Hendersonville, TN. Visitation will be at 2:00 PM. The service will follow at 3:00 P.M with Chaplain Steve Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow later at Oakwood Cemetery in Tuscumbia, Alabama at 3:00 P.M. on October 8th.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Keith to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease Research.
