Laura Ann Duffer passed away on January 20, 2026, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, at the age of 73. Laura was born on July 1, 1952, in Gideon, Missouri and spent her formative years in Blytheville, Arkansas, where she met the love of her life, Fred Duffer, with whom she shared over 50 years of partnership.
Fred and Laura dedicated the majority of their lives to each other and their family while residing in Malden, Missouri, before relocating to Gallatin, Tennessee, in 2010 to care for Fred’s beloved mother. Laura was an active volunteer for many years and enjoyed cherished moments spent on the lake with her children and grandchildren. Her faith also played a significant role in her life as she was an FP(USA) elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Gallatin, Tennessee, contributing to her community with a spirit of generosity and kindness.
Laura is survived by two sons, Shawn Harold Duffer and Frederick Joe Duffer Jr. (Amy); two granddaughters, Addison and Chloe; two grandsons, Brandon and Hayden; three great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who will remember her fondly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Duffer; and her mother, Marieda Riney.
