Linda Patterson

Linda Patterson, a longtime resident of Hendersonville, left this world to be in the presence of her Heavenly Father on May 9, 2025 at age 87. Linda was born on March 2, 1938 in Anderson, SC to the late Luther Reid Blackstone and the late Virginia Kennett Blackstone.

Linda is survived by her children, Paula Jo Ryan and Gary Clayton Patterson; grandchildren, Jennifer Ryan Garland (Phillip), Megan Nicole Ryan (Zach Helton), and Christopher Grant Ryan; great-grandchildren, Cash Clayton, Lyric Carter, Crew Standish, and Liam Nash; her sister, Patsy Beacham (Jim) and brother, Charles Blackstone and many nieces and nephews who loved her. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Patterson & her sister, Barbara Brogdon .

Linda had a tremendous love for her family, her friends & her community. She cherished the people God put in her path and always looked for opportunities to encourage others & shine the light of Jesus. Simply sharing her beautiful smile with you warmed the room you were standing in - she cherished any chance to make others feel welcomed and loved.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church Hendersonville with Pastor Bruce officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 11:00 am until time of service.
