Mrs. Mable Hall, age 85, passed on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Community Care of Rutherford County, Murfreesboro, TN surrounded by family. She was a cherished mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a sister and friend. She was born on August 20, 1939, in Jackson County, Tennessee. Daughter of the late Heady C. and Edna Jenkins. In addition to her parents, Mable was predeceased by an infant child, Jerry Harlon, an adult son, Jeffrey Allison, and her sister Jean Craighead of Toledo, OH
She was a member and Sunday School Teacher at the Hebron Church of Christ, and a homemaker. During her working years, she was an LPN and worked for hospitals and nursing homes as well as Home Health & Private Duty Nursing. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mable is survived by her sister, Mrs. Carole (Ted) Newman of Hermitage, her daughter, Mrs. Judy (Roger) Eslick of Bell Buckle, TN, her son Jim (Cyndi) Hall of Lawrenceburg, TN and her daughter-in-law, Rebecca Hall of Lebanon, TN. Her Grandchildren, Kris (Amber) Hall, Nicole (Troy) Clark, Jennifer (Michael) Cook, Jonathan (Caroline) Allen, Sarah Hall, Megan Hall & Emma Kate Hall. Her great grandchildren also survived, Caroline Cook, Max Hall, Rhett Allen, Lilly Kate Clark and Charlotte Clark. Additionally, she is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, and cousins as well as loving and caring friends.
Those who knew her will remember her for her joy in cooking and preparing meals for anyone that would come by and break bread with her. She loved baking and giving away her home-made sourdough bread. She was very instrumental back in the day in preparing food for church functions and taking food to the sick and shut ins as well as to funeral homes, all she needed was an excuse to cook!
The Celebration of Life service to honor her life will be held at Southside Church of Christ, 108 Narrows Road, Shelbyville, TN 37160 on Saturday, June 21, 2025 @ 1:00PM with Brother Jeff Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for the service at 1:00 PM
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, Interment will take place at 11:00 AM at the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery, Jennings Creek Highway, Gainesboro, TN 38562.
