Mary Gail Daughtry

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Gail Daughtry, beloved wife, mother, and friend, who departed this earthly life on May 20, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on December 4, 1950, in Glasgow, Kentucky.

Gail was a caring and big-hearted woman of God whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She never met a stranger, greeting all with a smile and an open heart. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she was a cherished member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee.

An ardent lover of the outdoors, Gail found joy in being outdoors in the fresh air. She loved tending her flowers and enjoyed mowing the grass. She was ready at the drop of a hat to go camping and fishing. She loved being around the water. Her husband, Terry Daughtry, and her family will forever remember her zest for life and her ability to find beauty in the simplest of moments. Gail loved the Lord God with all her heart.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Oley Pearl Smith Daughtry; sons Ed Daughtry and Jason Daughtry; daughter Beth Daughtry; two grandchildren; brother Freddie Carver; one son-in-law; one sister-in-law; and two brother-in-laws. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 31 years, Terry E. Daughtry of Gallatin, TN; daughter Kim Kirby of Scottsville, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; three daughter-in-laws; 3 sister-in-laws; one brother-in-law; and a host of dear friends.

Please join the family in celebrating Gail’s life on June 6th, 2026, at Church of God of Prophecy, 1415 E. Broadway, Gallatin, TN 37066. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a memorial service at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary. Pastor Windell Moore will be presiding.
