Mary Ellen Guernsey, age 77, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026, at Westmoreland Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 26, 1949, in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Marty and Bunny Emerick.

She leaves behind her brother, Ken (Carolyn) Abramson; her son, Chris (Jody) Hammond; and her daughters, Sherri Dunham and Rebecca (Kevin) Quinn.

Mary was a grandmother to David (Brittany) Jackson, Stephanie Jackson (Jonathan Cook), Andrew (Lauren) Jackson, Kasey Hammond, Lucas (Julie) Dunham, and Marcus (Kayla Scott) Dunham.

She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Madilyn, Ellie, Big William, Little William, Eli, Alycia, Lucas, Raylan, and Dalton.

Mary had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Jasper, who was a cherished part of her life.

Though life brought its share of challenges, Mary remained a loved member of her family. She will be remembered in the hearts of those who knew her, and her memory will continue through the generations of family she leaves behind.

May Mary rest peacefully, forever remembered by those whose lives were connected to hers.
