Maurice Daniel Kelly

Maurice Daniel “Maury” Kelly, age 78 of Gallatin, passed away November 12, 2025 at his home.

Maury was born in Youghal, County Cork, Ireland on September 22, 1947 to the late James and Ellen Kelly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Martha “Marti” Kelly; and siblings, Micheal Kelly, Jimmy Kelly, and Catherine Kelly.

He is survived by his children, Sean Kelly (Melissa), Erin Bukont (Ed), Jenny Kelly, James Kelly (Melanie), and Brendan Kelly; grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, Kristin, Claire, Ryan, Alyssa, Patrick, Zachary, and Leauna; great-grandchildren, Macy, Faye, Matthew, Ethan, and Sean; and siblings, Steven Kelly and George Kelly.

He made his second home away from home in the town of Youghal where he was born; he was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved being a grandfather and great-grandfather and loved being around his grandchildren. He enjoyed holidays and large gatherings with his family.

Maury’s family will have a private celebration of life service.
