Melissa Hood

December 23, 1964 — May 1, 2025

Hendersonville, Tennessee

Melissa Davis Hood, a beloved wife, mother, and friend passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN. She fought courageously against breast cancer. She was born on December 23, 1964 in Louisville, KY, and was preceded in death by her father, Rex Davis, and her mother, Rosalind Davis. She is survived by her husband, Robin Everett Hood and her daughter, Aubrey Rosalind Hood, as well as her brother, James Michael Davis (Mary Nelle).

Melissa was a Godly woman who always made her faith known. She was the spark of every gathering, and the light in every room. Her smile and laughter were contagious and will always be ingrained in our minds. During her journey with Stage IV breast cancer, she kept her Faith and continued to stay positive, no matter the circumstances. Melissa’s family was her pride and joy. She made sure that her legacy will be carried on through her daughter, Aubrey Hood.

Melissa loved her friends more than anything. She was a loyal best friend and left a great impact on those who she met. Whether she was decorating, playing games, or antiquing, she always made sure everyone left with sore jaws from laughing so much.
