Nancye Hunter, age 94 of Gallatin, passed away August 17, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

Nancye was born on November 5, 1931 in Robertson County, Tennessee to the late Joseph Lawrence Hunter and the late Audrey Olene Sampson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hunter and her four siblings.

She is survived by her children, Pat Vantrease (Wayne) and Susan Gregory (Douglas); grandchildren, Mark Gregory (Ginnie), Blake Vantrease, Katherine Hunter (Mark), and Lee Vantrease (Madalee); 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes there will be no services at this time.
