Patsy Anne Bayne Justice, age 86 of Goodlettsville, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026. Pat was born on March 21, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James Allen Bayne and the late Carrie Halmontaller Bayne.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her brothers, James “Jimmy” Bayne and Alton “Buddy” Bayne.
Patsy is survived by her children, Andra L. Justice and Michael W. Justice (Katie); grandchildren, Hailey Justice, Macey Justice, and Bryson Anderson; and her dearest friend for many years, Janet Gwyn Tharpe.
Patsy Justice was a proud lifelong resident of the Nashville area whose life was marked by
hard work, service, and an adventurous spirit. A graduate of Cohn High School in West Nashville, Patsy began making her mark early in life as a model for the iconic Cain-Sloan and Castner-Knott department stores. Along with her hosts, she helped open gasoline stations throughout Tennessee, demonstrating the entrepreneurial spirit that would characterize much of her life. On weekends, she shared her love of music as a vocalist with the Red McEwen Orchestra, bringing joy to audiences for many years. Her professional accomplishments were equally impressive. In 1968, she was recognized as Insurance Woman of the Year, later served as a delegate from Tennessee at the last Constitutional Convention, and was honored with invitations from the Presidential Inaugural Committee to attend two Presidential Inaugurations.
Patsy's passion for serving others continued throughout her distinguished career in real estate, where she worked for more than 40 years. She earned the respected professional designations of ABR, CRS, GRI, and SFR, reflecting her commitment to excellence and the clients she served. In recognition of her dedication and longevity, she was honored as a Realtor Emeritus. While her professional achievements were many, Patsy found her greatest contentment in retirement, tending to the beautiful gardens surrounding her home, watching the cardinals and countless other birds that faithfully gathered at her feeders, casting a line while bass fishing, and creating treasured memories while traveling throughout the United States and abroad with Andra and Janet. Patsy will be remembered not only for her extraordinary accomplishments but also for her grace, determination, generosity, and the lasting impact she made on everyone privileged to know her.
