Paul Green Crenshaw, 91, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026. Born on December 24, 1934, in LaGrange, Georgia, Paul lived a full and remarkable life devoted to family, hard work, and adventure.

As a proud graduate of LaGrange High School, Paul went on to study at Georgia Military College, where he graduated with honors, before attending Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee. There, he earned degrees in business and accounting and met his first wife, Noel Waller. Together, they built a life centered around their two sons, Jeff and Kurt. Later in life, Paul married again to Sherry Steffey and welcomed her eight girls into his family like his own.

Paul’s entrepreneurial spirit defined much of his professional life. A visionary in the automobile industry, he built several successful businesses—Key Chrysler Plymouth, Madison Motors, Volunteer Leasing and Sales—and ultimately the company for which became best known, Crencor Leasing and Sales. Many will fondly remember the familiar slogan, “Why buy new when you can buy Crencor?”

Beyond business, Paul was driven by curiosity and a love of life. He was a stock market enthusiast who approached investing with the same passion and insight that fueled his entrepreneurial ventures. He loved traveling the world, exploring new cultures, and making meaningful connections wherever he went. He was also an active member of his community and an avid golfer at Bluegrass Country Club, where he cherished the camaraderie and friendships he formed.

Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wives, Noel Crenshaw, his second wife, Sherry Crenshaw, and his sister Lucrete Wood. He is survived by his Sister Rachel Riggs, Jeff Crenshaw (Kim) Kurt (Caryn) Crenshaw, Daphanie Crenshaw, Abby (Scott) Gregory, Noah Fox and Milla Gregory, Geoff (Marianne) Marley, Silas, Luke and Jessa Crenshaw, Morgan and Michael Crenshaw, stepdaughters Allison (Mike) Holbert, Jim (Tera) Holbert, Michael (Brittany) Holbert, Sally (Dave) Grimes, Jennifer (Tim) Hinesley, Rob (Rachel) Hinsley, Melissa (Brian) Rush, Leslie (Cal) Faircloth, Brenton (Zoe) Faircloth, Laura Guigou, Allen (Amy) Guigou, Steffy Guigou, Ramona (John) Hicks, Nicole (Dylan) Richey, Brandon (Claire) Hicks, Alston Hicks, Regina (David) Carson, Anna Paden Carson, (Paul Lagarde), Ford (Sara) Carson, Wells Carson, Sherry Ann (Mark) Pullen, Morgan Ross (Brandon) Gray, Bradley ( Thomas) Johnston, Ward Pullen, Jackie (Buck) Sessoms, Car Sessoms, Mandy Sessoms who will continue to honor his memory through the values he instilled in them.

A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held at Sunmer Funeral & Cremation Lakeside 104 Sanders Ferry Rd. Hendersonville, TN 37075. Visitation is at 1:00 Service begins at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boys and Girls Club of Huntsville, 203 East Side Square Ste A, Huntsville, AL 35801. Paul Crenshaw leaves behind a legacy of strength, wit, and zest for life that will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
