Randal "Roy" Fleming Johnson

Randal “Roy” Fleming Johnson, age 83 of Gallatin, Tennessee and formerly of Coats, North Carolina, passed away February 15, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Roy was born on November 17, 1940 in Harnett County, North Carolina to the late Thomas Sidney Johnson and the late China Hockaday Willis. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Johnson and Rudolph Johnson; and his sister, Brenda Matthews. 

Roy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Avery Johnson; children, William Johnson (Sherri) and Randy Johnson (Leticia); grandchildren, Crystal, Leigh, Brandon, Tyler, Michael, and Sydney; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ronnie Johnson. 

Local visitation with the family will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Roy will be transported to Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, North Carolina where a funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. EST with burial to follow in the Hockaday Cemetery. Visitation in Coats will be on Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Rose and Graham Funeral Home.
