Rex Andrew "Andy" Birdwell

Rex Andrew “Andy” Birdwell, age 60 of Gallatin passed away June 16, 2025. Andy was born on September 8, 1964 in Gallatin, Tennessee to the Dumas Rex Birdwell and Mary Ann Carver.

He was preceded in death by his fathers, Rex Birdwell and Jim Graham; brother, Gabe Birdwell; grandparents, Rex & Betty Birdwell and Andrew & Margaret Carver; and the love of his life, Sherri Birdwell.

Andy is survived by his daughter, Tierra Birdwell (Derrick Brown); grandsons, Kyron and Kobey Birdwell; mother, Mary Graham; siblings, Kevin Birdwell and Amy Yates (Wayne); and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was a longtime truck and bus driver and loved his work, most recently driving for All Access Coach. Andy loved music of all kinds; he had an awesome sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He was a great storyteller and was telling stories right up until his passing.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 20, 2025 from the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
