Richard Edward DeBlois, Jr., of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 72. He was born on November 16, 1953, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to Richard Edward DeBlois and Oma Jean Patton DeBlois.

Those who knew him best would describe Richard as a true hippie and a free spirit. He lived life in his own way, followed his own path, and never lost his individuality.

A proud veteran, Richard honorably served in the United States Army with the First Airborne Division and was a Vietnam veteran. His service to his country was an important part of his life and which he carried with pride.

Richard found joy in the simple things that made life worth living. He loved fishing, spending time outdoors, and riding his beloved 1999 Heritage Softail Harley-Davidson. He also had a passion for cooking and smoking meat, especially ribs and brisket. Above all else, Richard loved his family and friends. He cherished the people in his life and the memories they made together. His generous spirit, independent nature, humor, and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Sr. and Oma, and his brother Gerald DeBlois. He is survived by his loving wife Tammy Hall; children Richard DeBlois III (Katie) and Michael DeBlois; stepchildren Bryant Walker (Emily) and Brittany Brown (Eddy); grandchildren Olivia, Jeremy, Kinlee, Jackson, Dawson, and Willie Jane (coming soon!); five brothers and five sisters; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Rest easy, Richard. Ride free.
