Richard Alan Petersen, age 66, of Portland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on April 10th, 2026. Born on September 17th, 1959, in Racine, Wisconsin, Richard spent the majority of his life in Portland, Tennessee, where he was cherished by many.
Richard was a man of many talents and pursuits. A true jack of all trades, he found joy in a variety of activities, among which hunting and fishing held a special place in his heart. Throughout his life, these pastimes reflected not only his love for nature but also his deep connection to the outdoors.
Above all, Richard’s greatest joy came from his family—his beloved wife and his treasured grandchildren. His enduring love and devotion to them were a defining aspect of his life, bringing warmth and happiness to those around him.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Rudalph and Dora Petersen; a brother; a son; and a daughter. He is survived by his loving wife, Pam Petersen; his sons Joshua Cook and Philip Wilson; his sister, Margaret, and her husband Wayne; his brother, Chuck, and his wife Lydia; as well as eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who will all carry forward his memory and legacy.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, funeral services have not been set at this time.
