Ricky Allen Jones, age 65, of Castalian Springs, Tennessee, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, hard work, and a legacy that will not soon be forgotten. Ricky was born in Gallatin, Tennessee to the late Milton “Billy” Jones and the late Betty Jean Hunter Jones.

Ricky was a true country man at heart. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and the simple way of life that came with living in the country. But perhaps nothing suited Ricky quite like being behind the controls of a dozer. He was exceptionally talented when it came to operating heavy machinery and took tremendous pride in his work. Throughout his career, previous employers and those fortunate enough to work alongside him knew Ricky as one of the best of the best when it came to dozer work. It wasn't simply his occupation—it was something he genuinely loved and a craft he had mastered.

Those who knew Ricky will also remember his sense of humor. He could make people laugh, enjoyed cutting up with those around him, and brought plenty of personality wherever he went. Ricky also treasured the friendships he made throughout his life, including the special bonds he shared with These were the kinds of friendships built over years of stories, laughter, work, and life lived together.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his sister, Penny Jones and his brother, David Jones.

Ricky is survived by his children, Jed Jones (Paige) and Hannah Jones; grandchildren, Tyson, Cooper, and Ben; several nieces and nephews; and his longtime best friends, Michael Polston, Harvey Kinney, and Wayne Lackey.

A celebration of life for Ricky will be announced at a later date.
