Robert Charles Buchannan

Robert Charles Buchannan, 83, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 22, 2026. Born on October 19, 1942, Robert lived a life shaped by faith, family, and service to his country.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Buchannan, and his parents. He is survived by his son, David Buchannan; his daughter, Kristine Buchannan; his grandson, Tyler Buchannan; his stepdaughter, Tonya Martinek and her family; and many extended family members and friends.

He dedicated his professional life to Boeing, where he served as a Military Contracts Manager. In his work, he was known for honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. Those same qualities were evident throughout his life and in the way he cared for others.

A devoted Christian, Robert was an active and faithful church member who found strength in scripture, prayer, and fellowship. He shared the love of Jesus through both his words and his daily actions, offering service to neighbors and living with kindness and humility.

Robert also found great joy in the outdoors, where he appreciated God’s creation. He treasured time spent with family, especially Sunday dinners filled with laughter and stories around the table. These gatherings reflected the importance he placed on being present with those he loved.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, no formal public services will be held.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s memory directly to the charity of the donor's choice.

Robert Charles Buchannan will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his dedication to family, and the example of service and integrity he carried throughout his life.
